There's a quote from legendary NFL coach Vince Lombardi on the wall of Jack Hanania's office at Acura of Orange Park: "Success demands singleness of purpose."
It was that determination and vision that led Hanania in 1988 to take a gamble on a brand-new automobile company - Acura.
Having entered the automobile business in 1982 as a Honda salesman, Hanania was hired by Luther Coggin six years later as a new car manager for the Coggin Automotive Group and its Acura of Orange Park dealership on Blanding Boulevard.
The Acura and Hanania names grew from there. In 1990, Hanania was promoted to general manager and a year later, he acquired an interest in the dealership.
In 1994, the Hanania Automotive Group was formed and, in 1998, as president and CEO of the Hanania Automotive Group, Hanania acquired 100 percent interest in the Acura dealership.
Hanania made a major move in 2004 when he opened a state-of-the-art dealership down the road on Blanding Boulevard for his Acura line.
