1996 ford contour power window repair?

Drivers side window stopped working, I bought a new switch and a used motor regulator. It worked for one day and then window got stuck open. I thought the used motor was no good, but it works great on any other window. Is there something special I have

I would go buy a NEW window regulator for that window and problem will be solved.
