audi tt oil and filter?

my 2001 audi tt quattro 1.8lt turbo calls for a sj grade of oil? None of the oil's in the store are that grade. I see sf or sc or cm but no sj. what oil can I use and do I need a audi oil filter or can I use a fram?

The 1.8T is one of the so called sludge engines, to prevent this it requires synthetic oil. It took VW a while but from 2004 onward this is the only oil recommended for this engine. If you can find European formula Mobil 1 "0-40" or Castrol
