I am wanting to put a lift on a '84 Nissan truck 4x4?

I was wondering how much a 2 or 3 inch body lift would cost, and would i have to have bigger tires to put the lift on? Also,does it make the mpg less or would it be the same?

Gas mileage would suffer badly and would make the truck top heavy which would be more dangerous to drive. Take to shop for estimates, but in my opinion is a waste $$.
